Clarence Risner has a nice S&M Modified Muskrat in Winterbottom
Your right Vince, the single backsprings are more desireable.I think they're an overall better made knife with the extra liner and crinks. Is the extra liner what you refer to as catch bits? Are they double liners at the backspring side?
Top knife in post #20,is the Clarence Risner Schatt in Winterbottom.Close to what the OP was after, but two springs

Thanks for the response! I have an Old Timer muskrat that has been sharpened so much that the blades are almost like needles. I do use an E-Z-Lap diamond hone to sharpen all my knives. Interested in more info about this pattern and/or pictures. Almost all my knives are users including stockman, trapper, sodbusters, and i muskrat. Thanks
Finally pulled the trigger on a Case chestnut bone muskrat in cv. Excellent fit and finish and great bone, each side closely matches. Decent factory edge and carries very well in the pocket. I can't wait to go fishing tomorrow to give it a field test.
I had been layed off for a year and 16 days, but life is good again now!
Here is the blades, another Queen classic, same style as above in bone, though

My favorite is the Case/Bose Muskrat.
