Not sure if this should go here or in the gallery since I didn't make the knife. Oh well, I spend all my time on this forum, so here ya go.

Anyway, here's a knife I engraved for a friend who pretty much lives for musky fishing. He takes a bunch of us out as a group a couple times a year, so I engraved this for him. It's a cheap knife but really great for practicing engraving. Decent stainless, flat and big 'canvas' to work on. Thanks for looking.

I forgot to mention, the good thing with those hobbies is that they're pretty related. Some people use air assist for scrimshaw and some people do bullino engraving by hand, one dot at a time. So it's not much of a stretch to try the other no matter how you start.

Thanks everyone. As someone who lives in the middle of nowhere, sometimes the only person that sees a knife I've made or engraved is the person I give it to and my wife. Who, bless her heart, couldn't care less about knives. So I really, really appreciate the feedback. Thanks again :)

TF: I love the Whitman quote

Andrew: I checked out your engraving, those animals are amazing!
