Musso Bowie

May I present for your viewing pleasure. A detailed, accurate copy of the famous Bowie knife, owned by Joe Musso. 19 3/4" overall, with a 13 3/4" blade of 01 steel. Ebonized maple grip. This is the most famous, and controversial of all Bowies, with it's roots traced back to circa 1830. Please scroll sideways to see three shots of it.

It is merely stained jet black. The wood is maple.

Very nice! Is yours stock removal or forged? Do you take orders?

It is stock removal. 01 steel. I would consider orders, but have not yet decided if I want to do another. It was not an easy job to get everything right, although a second would be a little easier now that I have worked out some of the better ways of making some of the critical dimensions.
