Right at the $150 mark is a tough as nails Ti framelock made by our very own Ron Flaherty.

IMHO this knife rivals Strider and ZT at a price that everyone can afford.

Recently picked up a BM 860 Bedlam for $140. shipped. Got a 581 barrage inbound also, but can't recall if it was under $150. ...close though.
 
I found my new favourite folder! If you like folding knives then you MUST get a Paramilitary2 by Spyderco.
 
Gotta chime the Para 2 grey lol, just can't beat it in a folder. As for fixed utility I would go strider MK1A Tanto just don't use or wear it near the public sheeple or they start running.
