Must have traditionals from around the world

There is nothing traditional about a svord peasant. Its a cheap new zealand copy of a european peasant knife, that somehow got an online following, beats me how.

I am from new zealand and can attest to the absence of any traditional knife to rival those in this thread.

It is cheap only in construction, not in price: it sells for about twice what it should.

I have one like it. It's a gaucho knife. There is not a spring missing. The orifice of the sheath has a split in it so that you can adjust it a bit. The knife stays in the sheath via friction from the orifice.

"tea vessel and filtering straw". That's for mate, not tea.

Thanks for the link. Maybe he told us it was for something like tea.
It occurred to me this morning that I could crimp that little collar on the sheath a bit, but even if I didn't overdo it, I'd be worried about increased wear.
Maybe a neoprene ring or two on the ferule (if they stretch that far). And I'll probably slip in a folded plastic liner at some point, which might snug things up a bit.
This side is nice too.
