must... have... Uncle... MoFo...

I think they are their own. The blade seems too wide to use a BMe blank unless Busse really oversizes the blank.

I thought the same thing until I really looked at the picture silverdragon posted a few posts back, and the Mofo's recurve really gives it the illusion of being much wider than it actually is.

I can't quite tell if his pic was a straight top-down view or slightly angled, so the perspective should be pretty close...

I took the photo in photoshop, cut out the Mofo, copied it over the BM and set the opacity to 50% and the "belly" of the Mofo fits within the BM profile with just a little room to spare. It's very close. Only thing that doesn't line up one way or the other is the hook or the choil.

Either way it most likely needs it's own blank.

After seeing all these pics (and keeping in mind I've never even handled one) I'm gonna ahve to say I'm pro-hook.

Regrdless of functionality, I think it looks good!

I'm really diggin' on this one. :thumbup:

Too bad I can't be at Blade to snag it. :(

.

OH man, that one is just plain BEAUTIFUL :thumbup:

It wouldn't chop worth a flip, but I'm such a sucker for a bowie clip...

Wow Eric, you fouled up the release of the Mr. Mofo just so you could take off a perfectly good bottle opener?

I've offered to buy a beer for any one at Blade that brings a cooler custom than the one I'm bringing.

I though you would be a front runner with all of the variants you have.

If you do bring something cool, I'm going to buy you a can of non-alcoholic beer for that stunt.

Grimspoon, please use your Chop skills to put an SFNO along the SARSquatch drawing that Jerry has in that thread.

Moderators, please DELETE this entire thread!! It is only making it harder for me to score an Uncle! I don't want the competition. :mad:

Beautiful knives!
Question
Some have standard Ergo style handles and others have a smaller rounded handle, are they different models or different versions of the same model? I'm liking the Ergo handled version with no hook.:thumbup:

The smaller rounded handle is what is normally called a "euro" handle, or some variation thereof... They are very comfortable. The only downside is that many of them have no lanyard hole (of course you can use the talon hole for a forward lanyard) making it impossible to run a d-guard.

But generally speaking, the euro handles feel great :thumbup:

I wanted to give this a shot, but needed something to reference for size, so I figured a ruler and one of my SOWs would have to do. It's fairly close...

Top-down shot with a ruler (lifted off the table slightly to match the height of the SOW) and the Sarsquatch scaled to the rough dimensions listed by Jerry:
SOW-SAR01.jpg

With the Sarsquatch drawing set at 40% opacity over top of the SOW, to give a rough idea of proportions:
SOW-SAR02.jpg

SARsquatch Specs (from Jerry):
Blade = 7"
Overall Length: 12 5/8"

SOW Specs (from Busse Collector):
Blade = 7"
Overall Length: 12.5"

SFNO Specs (from Busse Collector):
Blade = 7"
Overall Length: 12.75"

* My SOW actually measured at 12.75" overall instead of the 12.5" according to Busse Collector.com

** Given the crappiness of my camera, photography skills and errors in perspective, don't take these photos as gospel! :p

*** I know this has nothing to do with the Mojo/Mofo, sorry for being so off topic here! (I can move this to a seperate thread if anyone likes).
