mustard etch finish

I used a mustard etch finish on a A2 blade. It looks good but i am concerned about the durability. Does anyone have any experience on how well the finish will stand up? Also, does this finish help slow down rust on the blade?

John, Actually the mustard finish is a controlled rust. You still need to keep wax or a light coat of oil on the blade. As far as durability goes it is totally on the surface.

I put paste wax over mine and it is holding up great

One think I like about it is you can always add a little mustard to re etch any wear spots.
