A motion has been made to hold next year's MWKK at the same location (Dayton, OH), but on Memorial Day weekend. If we contain it to about the same number of participants, I second the motion.
Side benefits include better weather, more time for the hoopla and that we can hold a Birthday party for BrianinChi.
Yes, we can toss him in the pond once for each year!
Anyone care to make this the official signup thread?
Attendees:
Nasty
Tom Linton (bringing the oil I presume)
RoadRunner (bringing safety glasses)
Semper Fi (bringing bandaids)
Ferrous (bringing cool toys)
Trevor (bringing his pen & ink?)
MacHete (bringing Peeps and that's no duck story!)
Mamav (bringing daughter and schoolbooks)
Hollowdweller (going for it and bringing tent pieces)
BrianinChi (bringing dry clothes and a fire extinguisher)
Svashtar *Possible* (bringing nothing to avoid fear of getting ripped off)
Dan?
Warren?
I'm reserving spaces for Dan & Warren until I hear otherwise, so this leaves only, I think at most, a couple open slots if we're holding it at my place again. I'd say that we should mark our calendars and it's a *go*!
BTW, any of our Moderators are free to assume they would be welcomed regardless of the list, as would Bill, Yangdu, Pala or any of the kami's that might be out globe trotting for Memorial Day!
Tentative Agenda:
Friday arrival after 1800 - Fellowship with dinner at a local place (TBD)
Saturday & Sunday - Various workshops, Khuk talk, plenty of time for drooling over stuff other folks have and you wish were yours, sharpening and lessons, woodchucking stuff, maybe a raffle, maybe a blem box (I have *not* discussed this with Uncle Bill yet!), Swimming demonstrations by BrianinChi.
Monday - Picnic style lunch for Memorial Day, free to leave whenever up to Tuesday morning (gotta go back to work sometime!)
Camping room in the back yard on the pond, some room inside in case of weather, local hotels at all rates, casual dining stuff...coffee all day
No drinking when the knives are out!
Exact location will be provided in time for the event...plan on driving or flying into Dayton, OH. Pickup available!
