My 0350 broke!

Yeah, was having a little fun with you, so far I have not broken any of my AO Kershaws or Benchmades, nor have I broken an Omega spring in a non AO Benchmade. I do have several different AO's from Kershaw including Leeks, Shallot and Tyrade, and recently had customer service send me some spare parts, just in case. I also have assisted and non-assisted as well as fixed blade Benchmades, and have had no problems as of yet with any of them.

hickman1: I'm thinking more the Omega springs, or other weakpoints in the knife.

hickman1: I thought so, but if I had been wrong, I could have ended up insulting you.:)
RevDevil:It's my EDC, so I don't think I could go fixed blade.

So would a Benchmade Griptilian survive longer?

I've owned a few Kershaw AOs and a couple Benchmade AXIS models for years and all are in still in service today, after thousands of cycles. That said, from what i gather from here on the forums, your odds of either breaking appear to be about even. You may break two more torsion bars in the next year, or you may not break another for a decade. Same with Benchmade -- your Omega springs could bonk out in a week or a thousand weeks. None of that should discourage you from carrying either. They're both great designs and far more often than not they'll each last years, worry-free.
