Mike, every knife you post here creates an instant desire in me to own the knife. This one tops everything ! Great pattern, perfect blade profile for a dedicated Hunter and the most amazing wood handles i have ever seen. When i saw the mark side picture i thought it was Stag until i read your description.
I have way too many knives. I can't buy it. But i sure want to.

Thanks for the comments. Your are correct Roland this pattern been proven to be a great field knife from squirrels to elk. I have made more of this pattern than any other knives I've made since I started in 1984. I make over 300 patterns from time to time.

Does the tang extend all the way to the butt of the knife ?, i cant tell from here (Australia :) )

Mike, does the tang stop short of the back of the scales? and if so, what do you have between the scales from the back of the tang to the end of the handle?

It's full tang. What you are seeing is picture artifact from uneven lighting. Look again, the tang goes to end of the scales, it just looks darker towards the end.

Yes it is a shadow. I am not much on photos. If you buy one of my knives and are not satisfied send it back for a refund. Over 7,000 and 2 returns. One my fault, the second his fault. I replaced both knives. Thanks for all the comments guys. It means much to me. Mike

Hi Roland thanks for the input, this picture is the tang part i'm referring too

That is one crazy pic.
I have to agree, in the pic it looks like the tang was cut off short and uneven to boot, LOL. :D
Its funny how photos sometimes arent worth a thousand words ;)... I know its just a shadow....
Great looking knife, the new owner should be very happy.
Nice work sir.

LOL, thats what held me back until someone could confirm it for me, GOOD buying to the lucky new owner :).
