muphasta - Nice find and now a great looking knife. I hope you enjoy it in the future.
USN 1965-1989. Started out as a CTR but ended up as and retired as a CTA. Long story but the short story is an ear infection in both ears in 1967, tinny ears afterwards, and rating conversion afterwards.
USS Henley (DD 762); Kami Seya, Japan; Hakata, Japan; Edzell, Scotland; SECSTA Washington, D.C.; Diego Garcia, BIOT; NAVSECGRU Washington, D. C.; USS Ranger (CV 61) NAS Coronado, CA; NAVSECGRUDEPT Imperial Beach, CA; Navy Courier Service, San Diego, CA and a few others. After the Navy - NASSCO and then San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E).
Back on topic - Are you carrying your knife daily, weekends, ?????
Buck is tied in my mind with ZIPPO- service for life!
Dave
Actually, I can't bring myself to carry it now!
I found a Kershaw Leek at a pawn shop while on travel to VA in Sept that I carry. It was $13 and the scales were banged up. This 110 looks too nice for me to carry now! Call me weird, but I can't bring myself to even get a thumb print on it.
what years were you:
in Scotland Nov 68 - Nov 70
on the Ranger Aug 80 - Dec 82
My cousin was on the ranger, but late 80s.
