Hi guys, just wanted to share a few pics I took today of my first Schrade I fell in love with 25+yrs ago..

I was in my local gunshop here in Australia back around 1981, and checked out the display cases (as I always did before I left), and spotted this!
It stood out from all the other knives at the time, and I just stood there and admired it through the glass.

The next day it was mine!

It has been carried on a couple hunting trips way back when I did bow-hunting, but never used or sharpened so far.
Basically it has been in storage all that time, and I stumbled across it in one of the boxes in the storage unit last week. (I knew I had one somewhere)
I also have the original wood-grain case and paperwork and receipt somewhere too. (in one of the other boxes in storage)

(links to pics removed)

It still looks good after all these years, and I hope you enjoy the 'blast from the past'

Very nice picture, and a cool knife. I like the way Schrade did that blade profile. Thanks for sharing.

The 13OT, while not very successful as a pattern (speaking in terms of marketing), was one of the early adaptations of the Loveless designed blade. The PH series did better, and quite a few folders over the years got the drop point blades. Other than the clip blade 14OT (and UH version 144OT)introduced at the same time, I don't recall any other patterns which made use of that handle shape. It was ergonomic, but failed to gain popularity like the blade. They are nice knives and fairly uncommon today, more so in unused and complete condition.
