Of all HI khukuris this is surely the one I like dthe most and I just got mine, much earleir than I though I would thanks to the kindness of uncle Bill.
It is everything I expected and much more. the wood handles and steel fittings match very well. even the sheath tip is steel. The blade boasts the hatch marks typical of this model and is very well made by the kami with no name, whose signature is clearly visible.
Karda and chakmak have matching quality and are very well polished. the sheath is a bit rough comparing with oother HI s i have but still very accepatabile.
I can tell you this piece will aways have a special place in my collection, not only for itself but specially due to the tightening or relations between me and Uncle Bill it has promoted.
Now, where are my M43 and my 12" Ghopte, Uncle Bill?
