I was really saving up for a bark river fixed blade, but, I realized that I'll have no use for that in the city
So I looked at alternatives while browsing at knives ship free for awhile and spotted this.

I cannot wait for it to arrive, I also purchased a knives ship free, courier belt sheath to edc it

Already looking for more knives and it hasn't arrived yet... :D
maybe a northwoods barlow I don't know

Hot Darn! I'm jelly :D In my town people open carry fix blades some times but I dont have the guts to do that personally, and it just gives cops a reason to hassle you.

That is a beautiful choice. Sure to be useful daily and hopefully to become a long time companion. The jigging on that bone is fantastic.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone, I really like the color of the bone, I'm going to need an excuse to purchase a barlow. :D

Great choice! I picked up a Forest Jack as well, and I find that despite its length it is pretty slim and very comfortable in my pocket because of its single blade.

I haven't recieved it yet from Knives ship free "awaiting fulfillment", But I'm already looking at a Canal Street Cutlery two blade muskrat or a Northwoods Hawthorne camel bone :D

I think you will like it.
I just got one in the blue camel bone and it is a great size and the fit and finish is impeccable.
The pull is a bit hard on mine but I think a bit of oil and several hundred cycles will lessen that.

You started in a great spot with the Northwoods line, this is made by GEC but you should still try out a GEC branded knife in the future.
My favorite pattern is the 15, the size is a bit smaller than the Forest Jack but it comes in a wide range of cover and blade options.
There really is a ton of wonderful knives available in the traditional realm.
