My 1st clay on 1075/80 (2)pics

Yvsa & Ardvark...For the handle I really dont know yet..I did do a quick ACU grey paracord wrap for the heck of it just to see...then it got removed...I do have a pretty good collection of exotic woods now, I was able to get my hands on a bunch of 2"-5" dia grap vines from a pulled grape field, looking forward to using that stuff for handles:thumbup: but... my wife requested Black Poison wood (she's trying to kill me:eek well...in a roundaboutway:D ) so that is what is going on...I really suck at woodworking... Ardvark your Apple wood sounds great and that is one I am missing from my stash!! What type of Apple and could you post a pic for me???
 
Ben, can't post a pic, but it's a tree that my father planted about 35 years ago, that didn't survive something. It was a grafted mix of golden delicious and pippin. Don't know that the original rootstock was. You're welcome to take your chances with what I have. I'll even deliver. (A transparent excuse to look anvils at the horseshoe place.
