Nice! Congrats on the Junglas!

All of these Junglas posts lately are a bad influence... and by "a bad influence" I mean "telling me I really need one of those". :p

man, go big or go home :) I'm with adam, pair up a nice ESEE 3 to this bad boy...or the HEST bolts to the sheath NICE

My first ESEE was a Junglas. I followed it up with an RC-5. Now that I have the 2 big boys I am looking towards a 3 or 4. Congrats on the new blade!

what a way to man up! that's like a 13 yr old hooking up with his hottie, 24 yr old teacher :D it's going to be downhill for you from here on out.

I have absolutely no desire for a Junglas (I know, I speak blasphemy here) but I admit that it is a sweet knife.

OK I started my tests on this bad boy. 1st test, cut through 3, 1 3/4in. sunday newspapers, next chopped on edge of cardboard box 20 cuts 12-14 inchs down cardboard. 2nd test, Went to a hard tree branch, cut with ONE swing! a 1 1/2-1 3/4th inch branch from tree. and remove all small branches by just sliding blade down 7 ft. long branch. (small ones just poped off) See pic. Cut end into spear point (very sharp end) 3 cuts. Test #3 Chopped edges out of center of OAK 2 by 12, that was 20in. long (about 35-40 wacks into both sides of Oak. Hit ends of Oak plank and sank blade 1- 3 1/2 inchs into long grain 20 times. Then shortened spear from 7ft. to 6ft. with one cut stright down, and cut it in two.!!!! (try this with any knife a stright down no angle cut usally takes an axe!) Then after all this it still cut paper into curly cues. Took home looked for damage (nothing but dirty) then cut about 15, 8 1/2 by 11 yellow note paper into little strips *100s of them) Then felt the edge. *SHOCKED* it still showed NO change to the blade as if new. So OK will it still shave hair off my arm? Did it? looked but black coat on blade was hiding hair, wiped blade on paper and there was my hair. OK this blade is freekin CRAZY. I did all that to it and all it did was make it dirty.!!! OK I have to test this THANG More. Am I impressed.?? Yeah You bet Ya I am. See pics for spear and oak. You could make a very good shelter in about a half an hour. Again this blade IS NUTS.!!! *more tests to come* Enjoy (in a daze) edgy.
P.S. About wood. I have a huge collection 500+ LBs. of burls I found. Don't know what to do with it all yet.

Congrats. Good decision to get the man-sized knife first.
I was a bit shaken up at first, seeing the 4th thumbnail with the grass hanging over the blade. It looks like it broke in two there :)

Hey there. Yeah looks like it I guess, but I don't think I could break it if I tryed(well I did give it a shot slammin it 1-2 1/2 ins. into an oak plank and was not gentile in takin it out.) I really did beat on it. Not much of anything happened to it outside of some dirt and tree resin on it. So I'm sonna go out and beat on it with more tests...If I break it (doubt it) I'll get a new one. But this new round of tests are going to show pure survival needs. I will post and show what happens to it. Enjoy. edgy.

The JUNGLAS + ESEE3 sounds like a really nice setup. But im poor so i just run around in the woods with a 4.

What is up with that firesteel lol.

Congrats on your new Junglas! I'm with Adam, pair it up with an ESEE 3 and you'll be set.
