So I just finished my first knife last week, and I had 3 more that I cut out right away when I got my steel that needed finishing. So I finally finished them up this week. I've learned a lot throughout these last 3, and I hope to make much better knives from here on out. Currently working on my first bolstered knife. Heres a quick pic I took.
Top knife was my second. Handles came out a bit better than my first. But the blade was very unfinished.
The middle one was a little experiment. I tested out some etching, and my first time using micarta.
Bottom knife is just a simple paracord knife I wanted to do. More etching. Both etched blades also have 1084 etched in the other sides. All in all the knives are far from perfect but, I'm learing quickly. I've learned that a bit of hand sanding can make a huge difference in the quality of the knife. I will definitely be taking more time with finishing. Either way this hobby is highly addicting.
I'm excited on how well this is coming along...
