My three nicest knives i have are my ZT 0302, Bench mini-rukus, and mt Esee 4..
Im looking two add a nice new one to my collection.

Benchmade Bedlam
ZT 0200 or 0350
Spyderco Para or Military, thinking sprint run M4 if i can find it
Spyderco Chinook 3
Spyderco Civilian
Emerson CqC 13 or 15

all have very unique features, The bedlam and civilain are just so wicked looking. The Emersons, Zt and Military all have the nice G10, liner locks covered. The Chinook is discontinued i think, always loved that one. Need To pick one for my Wife to get me for the Big 30.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of those. Of the choices I'd go with a Para/Military myself, but that takes into consideration the knives I already have :D

This is the big three-ohhh! Go big. You need an XM-18 or Strider SNG.

Best wishes as you turn that corner. Birthday's are a great excuse for getting the one you've been eyeing.

thats true.. 3..0...0..$$ sounds like the price of a Strider..but every time i look at them, i look at the $400 then 5...

If hkpistole's wife would buy him an SNG or XM-18, he is a seriously lucky guy :D

Sadly im basically buying my own knife.. you know how marriage is. But the birthday gives me another reason to but something with Titanium, or SxxV steel,

I think the bedlam is seriously one of the coolest knives i have seen in a while, but as far as practicality, i would go for a S90V military or paramilitary. i'm just saying, those are drool inducing.

Out of the choices you listed, I'd probably go for the Paramilitary or Military. M4 steel would be really nice

You're not alone. Mine doesn't take interest in one knife over another. But the fact they tolerate us at all is a blessing.

Hey, you're still lucky if she lets you buy a $400-500 knife ;)
Yep.

+1 on the M4 Military if you're sticking to your list (but i still encourage the Strider... it's THREE OHHH!!)

Para or Military
ZT 0200 or 0350

Thats my vote.

I own 3 of those 4 (never owned a 0350).

I love my 0302 in Tan. That slab of titanium is badass. Its a very heavy knife, but one i just keep staring at. Im not the biggest fan of the Axis Lock, but its just that im used to backlocks and liners. I have to look into the Militarys again, I'd like a black one, but sadly the M4 only comes in satin i think.. or is it titanium... Emerson isnt getting much love here. Always wanted one, but i always end up getting like 2 $80 knives everytime i'm ready to get one.

Odd that the strider is being pushed more than a sebenza ;)

I have the bedlam. It is wicked, I'm just not all that much of a fan of 154cm. Check out the limited run of the afck in m390 perhaps?

The 860 Bedlam is a wicked cool knife and for a big knife it fits very well in the hand both regular and reverse grip.

The Bedlam seems very popular, i was kinda leaning towards this one, for sheer wow factor, i have read a few things about blade play being an issue in the black serrated models.. still an issue?

I have blade play in my satin pe model. But I bought for the wow factor, which it has regardless of play
