I am sure you guys are getting tired of me posting these knives. Not really fishing for compliments, but do appreciate thoughtful productive criticism. Thought I would give a little photo story to give an idea what I did on this particular knife. The blank is not the same but close to the one that I ground out. The handles I made from layering brown and green burlap with 2 part epoxy, and pressure made from a homemade press, when they dry they become very durable, as tough as any hardwood. If I had to take one knife into the woods to survive it would be this one 8.5 inch flat ground stropped razor sharp. You can chop with it and still cut vegetables or protect yourself.

oh man, i like that. the only thing i would have done different is shorten the ricasso slightly with a spanish notch.

I would have put another pin on the tip of the butt/bird's beak, since you have one so close to the ricasso. I don't know if it's the lighting but the grind at the plunge also looks a little low. Otherwise it looks really great, I like the blade shape, and the burlap turned out really well.

That's quite nice, 4th knife or 50th knife. I would have smoothed the handle a bit more at the ricasso by slanting the line, rather than a vertical cut, but that's nit picking. You need to put your name on it, make a sheath, and you will have a nice package there. Keep it up.

I like the blade and handle shape. Looks very usable in our local woods. That burlap micarta turned out looking pretty good too. Thanks for sharing.

I want to thank all for your kind words, it encourages me hearing this from those that I look up to as custom knife makers.

Looks great, especially for your 4th! Looks like you have your grinding down pretty nicely too, as that is quite a nice belt finish  And yea, do you mean this is the last (most recent) knife you've finished, or it is the last knife you're going to make? I say keep if up if it's the latter!

agreed, it had best not be your last. if my 4th knife looked like this i would be a full time maker by know... I'm not by the way, and my 4th was a pretty big POS by comparison. keep it up.
