My $9 Worth

My GI Tanto is a perfect blade for working around the house. It was perfect for un-sticking a painted shut window serving as pry-bar, sharp blade and putty knife all in one.

Be sure to thank Mick Strider for coming up with that particular design that L.T. borrowed without his permission.

Email is never a good way to contact them, calling them is the way to go.

Actually, not my problem. If every other manufacturer I have ever dealt with can respond to an e-mail, there is NO reason why they can't do the same.

I got it for $79.95 on www.knifeworks.com

Have you personally used the MH? It's a hell of a hunting knife. My statement was hyperbole, which you obviously missed, but my point is that for $80 or so, you get a great hunting knife...that's all.

I haven't, and sure as hell won't, use another of their knives ever. This doesn't change the fact that I could do the same duties that a hunting knife should with a $10 Mora or the same Old Hickory that I have been using for at least 15 years. Oh, yea...before I forget, "hyperbole" is just a grossly overstated point, not an ignorant one.

And that's why I don't believe it ever happened, it's your problem as it's YOUR knife, that is if you even had one to begin with. ;)

The whole lackadaisical attitude toward it pretty much proves it never happened and your only in this thread to bash Cold Steel.

Sounding more like a troll every day to me.

So do we thank MS for designing it or LT for providing it at a price low enough that I can beat on it the way I need to rather than put it in a glass case and tell folks what a bad-ass blade it would be if I wasn't afraid of scratching it?

You can use either one really and beat the heck out of them, it's just Striders is a lot more expensive, both are good knives.

No, it's not an ignorant point at all. I don't see why it's so hard for you to see that I was just saying it's an awesome knife at $80. I'll try to whittle it down for you, but it's going to be difficult. Sure, a $10 Mora is a great knife, but the MH, in hand, is pretty beastly for $80. You might know more about knives than I do, and I'm pretty sure you do, but the fact of the matter is that a simple statement such as mine requires little to no intelligence in order to properly misinterpret, so I congratulate you.

I'm pretty sure you could drop a voyager a lot higher than that onto a concrete floor with minimal damage. Can you explain the nature of the damage?

My point exactly. If it were 15 or 20 percent more (or even 100%!) I'd probably pay the premium for the original. At 2000%+ (that's right, over 20x the price!) I'll stay with the cheap copy.

Ok fanboy. If I e-mail a company 3 times over a couple of months and they cannot be bothered to respond, I have no reason to continue doing business with them. I can go to companies that much more willing to answer customers AND that make much better products. I bustred the blade off of my Leatherman SuperTool about a year back. I sent it back to LM and, after a few weeks, I e-mailed to check its status because mine was a discontinued model and I wanted to know if I would be getting it back or a new one. They responded THE SAME DAY. CS hasn't responded in...2 months now. You can drop the troll nonsense too. It just continues to show that you really have no point.

Wow...when all else fails, try to make a stab at someone's intelligence. I'm sure impressed  .

PS...what you said was "find a better knife for $80," which I did. In fact, I found many of them. Would you like me to post all of them?

So do we thank MS for designing it or LT for stealing the design, making money off of someone else's idea, and then having it Made in China for slave wages at a price low enough that I can beat on it the way I need to rather than put it in a glass case and tell folks what a bad-ass blade it would be if I wasn't afraid of scratching it?

Well, that's up to you to decide which one of them you'd like to thank.

Like it said, it never happened then, if you can't be bothered to call them to find out what happened to your knife and they supposed to have had it for 2 months..... :jerkit:

Wow! You quote, then modify the quote! I reckon that brings the level of this entire thread down to your level. Way to go!

Sorry for the late response. Well, if nothing else, you are good for comic relief, and so is your sad lack of morals. ;)

Perhaps I should apologize for actually having some morals. But according to your moral code, if a crackhead breaks into your home, steals your big screen TV, then sells it to the first guy he encounters on the street for $10; then that would be okay with you. Right? ... Yeah, right. Somehow I doubt that.

Like I said, good for comic relief. Thanks for the laugh. Don't worry, guys like you can't help getting the last word. My gift to you ... You get the last word.
