Some of you have wondered what happened to me. I'll be back here eventually.

Sorry for my absence. I've been on the road out of state on numerous projects nearly all year. My wife was also very sick in early January and spent about two weeks in the hospital. She has recovered and is doing well.

I haven't made but one knife in the last two years. I miss my shop!

Most jobs slow down in a slow economy. For me, however, many of our customers are looking for unique ways to cut costs and that's what I do for my companies customers. With all of our customers looking for ways to cut corners, I've become extremely busy with many projects going on. I usually average about 130 nights in hotel rooms in a normal year. This year I'm already at about 60 nights in hotels out of state and in state, with some of them on weekends. I've also been on 42 flights and driven about 20,000 miles already. I really hope this works out and results in one hell of a raise and bonus next year!

One of the times in mid march when my wife picked me up at the airport, she jokingly asked when I got into the car if she could see my drivers license to prove that I really was her husband. This sucks!

Cuts like a Kris,
I'll be working on your bowie as time allows. I have it started, just need to find time to finish it up.

Once again, my apologies.

It's good to hear from you, Scott. I was wondering where you've been, but life does that to many of us now and again. I'm glad to hear your wife is doing well. Stay safe during your travels and check in here every once in a while!

Scott, I've been wondering what on earth happened to you. Glad to hear your still on the planet! Hope things work out and your expectations come true. The one and only time I expected a bonus I got a turkey ham and my lay off check. :D Hang in there and make lots of money!

Hey Scott,

Man we've missed you. It's been tough handling all the bearing questions that come up without you, but folks have given it their best shot. Of course, many of them needed samples of the bearing sent to them to further explore their speculations. I guess that brings up the inevitable question, got bearings? :p :D

All the best, Phil

Glad to hear you're still alive and kicking Scott!

I know how it goes being away from family. My wife has pretty much been out of town for 10 of the last 14 months dealing with family medical issues and it's been tough. I'm sure you can tough it out, just make sure you get to carry your leave over and book some vacation in advance with the boss.

Take care man,

-d

It is good to hear from you Scott. Life can be nuts sometimes.

I'm glad you're back and even gladder that your wife is better. Hope the rest of this year isn't too crazy and treats you both well.

Rest when you can, life sucks at times, and gets in the way of all of our plans. Hopefully things slow down for you in the near future.

Bubba, glad to see that you are all right. Or what ever that it may be for you (all left???). HEHEHEHEHEHE!!!

Hi Scott,
You were missed and we were feeling forgotten. I'm happy you are prospouring with this slow down economy and it sounds like you may be back in the shop soon. Miss ya. You could poke your head in here once in awhile from a motel room far far away.
