Good advice about handling a sharp knife. Can't imagine the day when a police officer would not be allowed to carry a knife. But then again it seems to be going that way fast. The criminals are but not the cops.:(
Anyway, tape it up and heal well.:D

Aww man, sorry I asked! That's sick!:barf: Glad you got to keep the thumb though!:D

I dunno if I could use superglue....I would imagine it'd sting like heck.

Bro, and I mean that in the Fraternal sense of the word, I am glad that you didn't lose a thumb there  A good lesson learned and I appreciate your cander and honesty in the face of well, you know :p Be safe out there  I do hope your Chief handles this properly, sans the knee jerk reaction  I have weapons available to me in many places within my my patrol car  I am coming home, period

Actually, there are better adhesives for skin, or so I'm told. I've been looking for such for a BOB.

Much appreciated. This was a complete brain-fart on my part and I had no problem owning up to it and taking much flack from fellow officers, my Sgt....nurses, docs, etc. :D
