Ah, a Condor I don't have......yet. ;)

I have a Condor Hudson Bay Knife due to arrive here tomorrow. Looks like a good rugged and useful blade to me. Sort of like a frontier tactical meat cleaver. If anything it will be fun to mod it up.

Wolf,

That's a hell of a tool set. And the Hudson Bay paired with that hawk is going to have quite the historic look.

Post some pics when you get the chance.

Well it did indeed arrive today. My initial impression is positive. The sheath looks good, the handle is a bit thin but comfortable and well contoured. The edge is suitably sharp and the edge geometry reminds me of the edge on a khukri. The faux forged finish looks a lot better on mine than on some of the others l've seen online. No use yet but l think it is well worth the $30 l paid for it.

Wolf, post some pics or a new thread with pics or a link to one if you wouldn't mind. You plannin on cuttin up critters with that one too?

I got it to use as a cheap backwoods beater to carry and use in situations where I wouldn't want to risk losing one of my irreplaceable Camillus Beckers or H.I. Khukris. There's something to be said about having a sharp tough knife that you're not afraid to get nicked or dirty because you can just get another one with your next paycheck. It didn't take much effort for me to make it from sort-of-sharp to razor sharp. The heat treat and steel quality seem to be very good. Pics tomorrow.
