I thought these were some of the best looking spalted maple burl blocks yet. Spalting is caused by a fungus in the wood as it starts to decompose giving the wood really unusual color patterns. The photos don't show it but these have nice flashy burl figure all over these blocks.
These blocks were cut and stabilized in a vacuum/pressure chamber using Resinol 90c which is heat treated for maximum durability. These are hard, heavy blocks that will make some stunning knife handles. If you need a block cut into scales, just let me know. As usual, these have a No Questions Asked, Money Back Guarantee.
