These are some of my very best Walnut Burl Blocks.

Here is a short video showing some of the pieces that are going into the store.
Most are cut oversized so they will work for big fighters and sculpted handles.
These were all professionally stabilized by K&G.

Can you cut one of those blocks (quartering the thickness) into +/- 1/4" scales, yielding 2 sets?

What is the kerf? If I bought a 1 inch block, cut three times into four slabs, would they each be about 0.2?

Each cut eats about 1/8" of thickness. So 1" of thickness usually yields 3, 1/4" slabs.
