My Bestest Find Ever

That is a very cool story! Spend a half hour with some Never Dull, or Brasso, and that old beauty will be looking as good as new!:thumbup:

Augie, when I saw your Thread title of " My bestest find yet - I knew it had to be good, I wasnt let down at all - that was real neat - Im so glad you got your 110 back, and I too would be glad to buy two new ones to gift in return for my old long lost Buck.
Awesome Story, I too have a beautiful Buck gifted to me, I honestly treasure that knife.

Augie, congrats man! That is some fantastic news. Is it going to be a carry piece or has it earned its retirement and you don't want to chance it again?

Congrats again!

John,

I love the fact you considered it the greatest find ever.True treasures come out of the heart. I smile for you.

Sorry it took so long to reply. I want to thank all of you for your kind words.

I'm lucky to have a good relationship with my brother, he and I shoot quite often and get together for holidays and just visit, I'm glad he was using it all these years and I will be sure to replace it for him.

Thanks again everyone I consider many of you friends both the members I have met in person and the ones I have met on-line in this forum.

I wish I can find mine. I too had a buck 110 growing up and have plans to go digging in my Mother's basement to see if I can track it down. I have an SAK from my childhood - it looks like I tried to sand it on the road and the tip is broke off but it's my "bestest find".... till I track down where that 110 ended up...

Great story of a lost treasure found Augie. My first "store bought" knife was a barlow my grandfather gave me for helping him with some fencing when I was a kid. I found it a while back and I know it was the same one because of where I found it. One of the handles and a bolster were missing. Now it's in Glennbads capable hands being brought back to life. Congratulations and kudos for wanting to give 110's as presents to your brother and nephews. They no doubt will also be treasured.

Love a good story like this, another 75 grad here. Was a little different back then, use to take my shotgun to school so I could go skeet shooting right after.

Buck 110 is a very nostalgic knife. Happy for your reunion!

Augie,
Thank You for sharing the reunion with Your classic knife, a good design never goes out of style.
The gifts to Your Brother and Nephews are a great idea that will be remembered forever.
I also graduated in 75.
