My BK14 is Complete... Now with 100% more Skystorm Leather content

The pocket sheaths are interesting, do you have any problems getting in back in blindly in your pocket?

Yes and no. Depends on the pants. I wear dress slacks to work daily, which have very loose pockets, loose enough that the sheath flops around inside and so I have to guide it back in with my finger or take the sheath out. In my jeans at home the sheath stays put and I can slide it right in. Also depends on the pocket. At work I've been carrying it in a front pocket, but it stays put better in a back pocket.

I don't really mind taking the sheath out to put the knife back in, the convenience comes from being able to carry a fixed blade easily and comfortably at work.

Glad you like it! Pocket sheaths are under rated, I love them for small blades.

I do NOT recommend a knife in the other side, The knife side has an internal welt for the blade otherwise you will eventually cut through the stitching which will result in me laughing at you and having you send it in to get it restitched. That being said, if someone wanted to carry 2 knives I could probably work something with that.

Don't play coy.....you know you could.

A pocket sheath with a 17 on one side and a 14 on the other.....tapered so the shorter side isn't so bulky.....both edges facing same way....17 stacked on top of 14....that would be SEXY.

I've never carried a pocket sheath. Looks great.

If I ever get around to making the scales for my 14, Skystorm will be hearing from me.

I agree with Skystorm in that pocket sheaths are vastly underrated especially when you do not want or cannot carry on your belt but want to carry a fixed blade. It feels like carrying an extra wallet or cell phone.

I'm interested in trying one of these for the 16 I don't have yet. I agree, I don't think taking out of the pocket would be to bad to re-sheath it, but what about drawing the knife? Does the sheath stay put when you pull out the knife?

At first no, it didn't stay put, but when I first got the sheath it was very tight and not yet formed around the blade. Now that it has been drawn a bunch of times and carried around for the last day or two it is starting to take the knife's shape better. Now I can grab the handle and use the tip of my finger to push against the sheath and it will come out. Took a little getting used to, but now it is very natural.

Thanks for the info. I want to EDC the 16 when I get the production model but I don't like stuff that rides high on a belt b/c it has a tendency to dig into my side( I'm a little on the heavy-set side). I'm thinking either this or a kydex with the TDI clip to clip on my pocket like I have for my 11.
