Surprised to have my wife bring home my BK2 from the mail.. It was suppose to be here within 5-8 days, they cut the time in half..

Came out of the box really sharp and I'm extremely impressed. The sheath is MUCH BETTER then everyone's been leading on, personally I think its great and will work as is for a long time.. the only thing is this thing is in there tight !! does it naturally wear down in time or is there a mod I should try?

Naturally the first thing I did was take it out to the garage for a treatment of loctite. I didn't get home until just before dark, but I did take it out back and split a little wood with it.. I beat it pretty bad, even beat on the handles a bit as it was wedged into a piece and was going no further.

We have seen pics like these a hundred times, but this one is special cuz its MINE>>

HELL YEAH!!!! Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout. Knif Pron. You got a good blade that will never let you down, no matter what. Now, you gotta plan a good adventure around it, so you can REALLY take her for a test drive. Perhaps an overnight with just that as your only blade. SWEETNESS!!!!!!!!

Congratulations, TheLastDaze. How does it feel in your hand . . . perfect, right (how did I guess that?)?

I especially like your last pic; even though it's brand new, it's already showing signs of love, the way a Becker should. Now you have to get some pics of it in use, and the things you use it for.

Congrats!

Yep . . . and cutting just about anything else, too. C'mon, pull the trigger on one — you know you want to — and you owe it to yourself.

You bet.. I'll put a mean convex on it tomorrow, probably strip the blade also.. I intend to put it to use tomorrow, but do intend to take it out overnight, but its so hard for me to take ONE blade out.. :D

It took me months before I leaned completely over the fence, and grabbed one.. I sold an old case slippy I had, so I kinda traded it:D

They're still making 'em, ya know — why deprive yourself?:D

I just can't imagine not having a BK-2, but I'm strange like that.;)

Congrats!! Is that thing a pit bull or what? I'd love to see pics after you convex it and strip the blade!

you will see before you know it, I've already stripped the blade.. (just couldn't help myself) I will beat it near death tomorrow and see how the factory edge holds up then I'll convex it and put up some pics..

it is a pit bull allright, btw on a side note I have an old Shcrade pro hunter '73 adn the BK2 fits in its leather sheath... I'll probably never use it but just wanted to see if it fit..

Whew! I was worried for a little while. I had visions of you going through BK-2 withdrawal. You know, sitting in the corner, shaking, muttering Becker, Becker, Becker over and over (like I've been known to do over Tweeners, but that's another story). I'm happy to hear that no intervention is needed.:D

Please, I've been hearing about these 'tweeners' obviously way over my head, what exactly are we talking about??

Ah-ha! A Beckerhead who doesn't know about the Tweeners! Awhile back some of us were dreaming about a Becker that would fit in between the BK-11 and the BK-2. You know, not too big, but not too small, either, but just right for some tasks . . . a Goldilocks Becker, if you will. I wanted something with a regulation Becker handle, and a blade length of around 3 3/4 to 4 inches. Well, Ethan went us all one better, and designed several variations — new blades, new handles . . . new knives. I called them Tweeners, and the term stuck.

Moose posted some pics in this http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=785019 thread. Check 'em out and drool (they're coming soon).

Look for them around spring. Its gonna be a long winter.:( Take heart though, there should be a few show stoppers right after the first of the year, to tide us over.
