It isnt traditional, I know, but it’s taken from my makers mark…I’m a teacher and asked my students to come up with my makers mark and I chose this one. I started by making fixed blades and just etching the logo on the blade, but when I transitioned to making slipjoints I thought I could set my knives apart from other makers just by doing this custom shield. I can do the traditional shields, but honestly don’t get asked for them much at all.image.jpg
 
No, I think it's awesome! I collect swords and have a few shields. It's just the first sword shield I've ever seen. I was trying (and failing) to be funny, not give you a hard time in any way.
