Bob, I'd be a little suspicious of that 4th one that has the label on the wrong end! I'd be checking it for authenticity! :D

Who can raise the ante?

Sniper308 is right, that box is kinda suspicious. You should give a call to John Hollister, hes the Emerson answer man.

Bob, they may be right.

If I read your descriptions right, that would be the CQC6. Feel free to package the offending knife up and ship it over, you have my address.

John

(P.S. Can't blame a guy for trying)

Sorry that you misunderstood. I only collect the boxes.;)

In that case, I have about a dozen including the one that I cut to pieces with an X-Acto Knife to get "The Usual Suspect" Logo scanned.

That was in the Genesis of the Logo, for historical purposes. [groan]

I wanted an Emerson Logo desktop that was tiled and swiped it off EKI's website, but when tiled on desktop looked HORRID!

So I did my own!

Then, that evolved into what Seth heavily modified!

Until this moment, I never really thought of that guys, this is sort of odd.

But when you get your patch or shirt, whatever final thing happens with that Logo, you are not wearing something that is merely computer generated, you're wearing something derived from an actual COMMANDER BOX!

Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha

Cool Don -
Are they Crushed or Un-Crushed? Any details? Do you have pictures?:D

Gentlemen,

Look closely at the boxes. Yes, they have some wear on the corners, HOWEVER, NONE OF THEM ARE CRUSHED!!!!

Bob has been duped! There is a professional counterfeiter out there!!

Be careful, very careful!

Aaaargh, take away picture, Take Away Picture... TAKE AWAY PICTURE!!!

This is baad ju-ju coming to this forum. Surfing ronin is right, sadness comes with uncrushed boxes. This bad luck could go away if a seventh box was included in the picture. Only one thing for you BRP to do:

Buy more Emerson knives until seventh uncrushed box comes with sacred brown truck. Then call the Goderators name thrice: Vampire Gerbil, Vampire Gerbil, Vampire Gerbil. If he post on this thread after that, everything may go back to normal.

Go now! Make disturbed water calm again.

/Colinz :P

(yep, maybe a lame joke :D but where is Vampire Gerbil in time of need?)

It has started...

Look at last post after my signoff: "/Colinz :P "

EDIT: you see can´t get the :P to work!

/Colinz

We must make amends...quick...someone send me the seventh uncrushed box. It's o.k. if it still has a knife in it...preferably a waved 8...to appease the Goderators only... ;)

Boxes can be a little bit like knives sometimes in that they may be all designed and built the exact same way, but they do not always turn out the same.

Your boxes apparently did not get the benefot of the full manufacturing process at Emerson. The underlying pile of product under you box when it was thrown could have cushioned the impact, an Emerson employee could not have be working with sufficient strength to properly man-handle your box or maybe a conveyor had to be adjusted to snag boxes with more reliability.

Sad to say, that even if you were to send your boxes back to EKI to be Emersonized, most would ot view them as original.

Oh sure, they could all be Factory Original boxes that were never crushed, but what are the CHANCES? Do you mean to tell me that one guy got SIX uncrushed boxes? Is QC THAT spotty?

Jeez, any chance to bash EKI boxes.... If this was a firearm we were talking about I'm sure no one would bat an eyelid about having to ship it right across the US, and spend hundreds of dollars on having it setup the way you like, so is it really too much to expect to have to do a little tuning on the box of a $150 knife? I think not, and I won't hear any more of this nonsense about the QC being spotty on the boxes. :p

Look Ken, I'm sick of you people who come in here for no other reason than to bash Emerson boxes out of an obvious dislike for Ernie. I can only think this dislike for Ernie stems from the facts that not only does he make some of, if not the best goddam' tactical knife boxes out there, but also he knows how to use them, and along with his friend Burt, he's the undeniable star of TV's Sesame Street.

I've had problems with uncrushed boxes from other makers too, Benchmade, Master Knives, United Cutlery, Jaguar.... the list goes on & on. I've never even seen a factory crushed Spyderco box in my life, and their supposed to have amazing QC! I'm sure you've had problems with other makers boxes being uncrushed too haven't you Ken?

So I'll say this for the last time, stop coming in the Emerson forum just to have a go at EKI boxes - now go away and grow up you immature little troll. ;) :p
