Yes I too had problems with EKI boxes and I am not a troll!

I've had a EKI box close on me and give me a severe paper cut and it HURT! So all Mr. Cook is saying is the truth. There is another forum member and countless other stories that I've heard of EKI boxes doing the same to them so it's true.

Don't ask to see the box and I don't even want to send it back to EKI! We just wanna bi+ch and moan about it.

Now if I had to use a box, I've never had a TAMPAX (tm) box close up and paper cut me such as a EKI box has. They are much more sturdy and you get your money's worth from their boxes. Much better quality box compared to EKI's boxes. I will never use a EKI box again.

Ken I'm sure your familiar with the better design of the TAMPAX (tm) boxes and suggest switching over to those boxes instead of getting headaches with the EKI's. The guys here won't listen to reason and this is my last post on the subject here :D

Well I just think that for the "Number 1 Hard Use Box in the Galaxy" it's pretty disapointing! You can bend one with your bare hands, the black comes off of the corners, and the flap loosens up with repeated use.

Microtech boxes are MUCH sturdier and don't rely on all that gimmicky ink, but yes I have to agree, the Tampax boxes are much better and so much easier to come by because all of us Emerson box haters have "heavy flow" three weeks out of the month anyway!

Okay, I can't keep up the pretence anymore.
I really like Emerson boxes better than any other boxes, I just thought I could make myself look smart by talking them down.

Besides, I'm 52 years old door to door support hose salesman and still live at home with my Mother and I can't really afford the good Emerson boxes and have never actually touched one, but I just KNOW that Emerson boxes can't be as good as all these "Wannabe-tough-guy-knife-fighters" say they are!

These are my Emerson Boxes. You will notice the finish has in fact worn off of some of them, just like the screws tend to do. Also, the lids have proven to be weak.

Often times, I find these items in the bookbags of Emerson Bashing Children:

Then I carefully prepare a trap for the Bashing TROLLS by throwing these Superballs down in their path, hoping they will take a fall and damage themselves, or perhaps at least they will slow down to play with them.

I can honestly say with a straight face that I have never, ever smoked a damned Maple Leaf, Raye. Perhaps that is a problem with Canadians in that they smoke Maple Leafs and not something else. :p

Perhaps, I would hazard a guess that the U.S. Congress and Senate has about as many potheads as drunks and tax cheats.

Perhaps someone should prescribe a few young Interns for your politicians to take their minds off disarming the people. :D
 
I have taken to carrying my EKI boxes in zip-loc baggies, "box condoms" if you will. I find the lower friction between box and bag really slows down the wear on the corner. I am also much less likely to cut myself on a box flap because, no matter how quickly I think I need to get the box out, by the time I open the box condom, I am either too tired or calmed down too much to try opening the box too suddenly and carelessly.

What do you "knifey" guys think? Really, you won't hurt my feelings. I'm a tough "manly man" and have the condoms to prove it!

I do know the difference... I'm just not fussy if you know what I mean! ;)

Anyway I'm unhappy with EKI right now... I just got my LaGriffe and I can't seem to fold the damn blade closed on it! I wouldn't mind so much, but it's kind of expensive to have to ship it back to the US just because they didn't bother to check that this goddam folder would fold! ;)
