My brand new Cryo! (pic heavy)

for those who've had a chance to use theirs a bit, how is the 8cr13mov... i've never used it

So far, so good. I've cut through heavy plastic, shipping tape and boxes at work and it handled everything like a champ. The blade arrived hair-shaving sharp, literally. Kershaw does a great job of sending their knives out extremely sharp, even their China-made models. I've only edc'd it a couple of days but the edge is holding up just fine. Still takes hair off my arm! I also own a Kershaw Clash, and the edge retention on that one is good, as well. Overall, I'm really satisfied with my experiences with 8cr13mov

I love the Cryo. I have 3 right now, one TI, one black, and one black serrated. I've also given 2 others to friends as gifts. All were pretty flawless out of the box.

Nice! Would it be possible for you to post a few pics of your black ones? I would love to see some shots

Sure. Note that I hit them with a silicone cloth just to take off the factory oil. They're a little more of a matte finish than what you see in the pics.

Congrats on a cool present. My wife would never buy me another knife! I wanted to wait for the cryo 2, but I gave in and got a cryo last week. It is a little shorter than I normally carry, but I knew that before I ordered it. It is a very nice edc, especially for the 25 bucks I paid. My only real issue is the pocket clip. It is so tight I feel like I am ripping my pockets off trying to get it in and out. Maybe I can give it a little bend to losen it up.

They had them in stock at Blade HQ. Their pictures look better than mine too :-)

Haha all good, bro. Thanks for the links!

Yeah I feel that. But I prefer my clips a little on the tight side. I will say it's much smoother to take out when I'm wearing dickies than my jeans. I carried it to the beach yesterday in my basketball shorts. Just perfect!
