My Bravo 1.25 copy

Yup. No need to start threads with the word copy in the title. It leaves a bad taste in this world full of counterfeit copies being sold. The only thing wrong here. Is the word copy. They look like fine pieces of work on their own and any of us can tell the inspiration.

And I'm sure if the OP had said "Hey everybody, check out MY new knife. I made it myself", people would jump on him and say "Wait a minute, you just copied a Bark River. Shame on you for copying BK's design and trying to pass it off as your own".

Nice work on the knives Thatsaknife, whatever you choose to call them.

I guess if anyone wants to sing they'd better start writing their own songs. All of those beginning guitar players better start by learning to compose their own music first.

To the OP, as long as you're making some blades to practice with and see what works for you and what doesn't, keep going. If no one ever took a design and improved upon it the AR15 market would still be cornered by Colt, cars would still look like an old model A, and we wouldn't have 5 different erectile dysfunction pills to choose from :)

You know thatsaknife, sometimes it's just easier to keep things to yourself. If you don't express yourself properly (in other words, to the group's satisfaction) your message gets lost in the static generated by those that find your choice of words objectionable.

Next time, contact your critics and run your post by them to make sure it is politically correct and then we can enjoy your work without the other considerations that an objectionable post generates.

BTW, nice looking knife!

Robert

Thanks for all the comments I really like this forum. If I show anyone I know a knife hand made or store purchased they are completely indifferent so its nice to have a community of like minded people to chat with.
BTW here is an original painting of mine
is

Its an homage to The masters in the spirit of Da Vinci with a little Renaissance inspiration:)
