My Bravo-1 vs. RC-3 or 4?

I agree. Both are great knives and great companies. I just dont get all of the hype when it comes to knives.

They are different though and I love them both because they are different. And thats what makes us all knife knuts!

The knife industry can be absolutely rediculous. :barf: Ive been a knife knut for years, and still scratch my head at all the kool aid BS...:o

The challenge has fallen through. Our schedules are conflicting but we may exchange knives and do the test on our own until we can get together.

I own both and the bravo pretty much outdoes the rc-4 in most ways (not by much)
the 1095 is easier to sharpen but thats it.
the bravo is also twice the cost so i would expect it to outcut and stay sharper longer than the rat.
but in the long run the rats are a much better value.

I agree with the 1911 vs Glock analogy (esp. if the Glock is in .45 cal), though the price diff isn't as much with the knives. Similarly, both are tools that will do what is demanded of them when used properly. I respect both companies and would love using either knife. Grind, weight, width, slabs and coating all come down to preference.
My collection is RAT mainly because I've never known how to maintain a convex grind, and I like that I can field maintain them with my current knowledge and tools.

Another person comparing Micheal Jackson to something TOTALLY unrelated. Child Molestation has nothing to do on any level with ANYTHING related to these 2 companies. I have 9 adopted brothers and sisters that were all taken from situations where terrible sexual things were done to them. This analogy pisses me off.

Every time a BRKT thread is brought up.

Plenty of people have great experiances with BRKT(probably more then have negetive), as RAT. It has NOTHING to do with the topic matter.

Since this is confusing to you, I will try to explain my point. The point I was making is that a pattern of unethical dealings should be considered. Are you going to support one of the individuals who abused one of your adopted brothers because they did nothing to you "personally"? If a plumber comes to your brothers house and steels from him, are you going to hire him because he did nothing to you "personally"? If you think they are so great, why don't you talk to some of the former employees of black jack who worked under him? Talk to the organizers of Blade. There are plenty out there. I think supporting someone financially because they did nothing to me "personally" is pathetic. Until people stop supporting unethical behavior, it will be the norm rather than the exception. That 's my point! If the only thing that matters is how he can grind a blade then that's that. :jerkit: I deal with that Koolaid crowd everyday.
