my budget fire kit

Bro - Trick birthday candels is an AWESOME idea and I can't believe I've never thought of it before.

Thanks again for a great video. I just put together a kit in an altoids tin to stash in my daypack. I need to put together something similar to what you have but not as big. I like to pack light.

Thanks a lot for sharing, I've learned a lot from you and this forum in the short time I've been here.

my right,, Thanks for the kind words...TO be honest with you I hardly ever use anything I have in that kit other than the ferro and the pjcb..and the blow tube....THe b-day candles are nice but are not as awesome as you'd think,,you could get by with allot less but I feel fire is a really big priority for me, and I certainly would not want to do without it for lacks of prep. on my part... as I attempt to become more competent in primitive fire starting methods I plan on also retiring the ferro to a back up method, but that is a LONG way off. anyway thanks for the comments... I have a few more kit vids I've filmed but haven't put them up yet.

Another good informative video bro ... I like the blow tube idea and the trick candle is also a very cool and useful idea.

ummm.... how'd you get the shiner man ? :D

edit : never mind

As always very good video.

One thing I would throw out for you to think about, if you get a syringe ( local farm store will have it) then you can attach your blow tube to it for water collection tool. I know in your area water is not a big concern but since you already have the tube I thought I would mention it.

Good stuff RR. Maybe mention carrying another type of ignition source in a pocket. Just in case the pouch gets away.:D
