I personally like my bushcrafter knife with the scandi grind. However, I know the scandi is not for everyone, so I decided to convex one of the 5/32" ones out.

Any non-scandi lovers out there? :D

very nice brian... i like it... i am one of the small minority that doesn't care much for scandi's....:o

That thing looks like a Scandi knife that sort of melted toward the blade edge! It looks great! I like Scandi too - but hey!

Nice work Brian.
I think your scandi grinds look like they're done by the hands of someone that settles for no less than perfection. The convex looks functional and well done but lacks the aesthetics of the scandi.
I'm sure its just that and the convex version is every bit as well done. just not as pretty IMO. I'm not sure if I'm making any sense here.

Not knocking your work. Just giving my opinion of the overall look compared to your scandi version. I think you set the bar too high.

Man that looks wicked. I tend to lean more towards convex, but my Koster Scandi cuts great. I also was lucky enough to handle your knife that Marcelo has. Freaking sweet!!!

I will eventually get one from you.

You must have quite the steady hand and a lot of patience. Nice job!

BTW, what kind of grinder are you using?

Wow, Brian that looks amazing buddy !

I'd guess the edge would resist deformation/damage a little better than the Scandi as well eh !

That looks great Brian,

…and would be my choice.
