My Chris Reeve Large Sebenza with Brushed Scales (PHOTO)>>>>>>>>>

Is that the green SB pad?

Yep, the ones at Walmart or the grocery store.
I've seen others labeled "scratch free" or something like that. Anyone ever tried those?
The green ones make them pretty smooth, but I've been considering going for a more polished look on one...

I'd love to see a pic. I'm stuck with a Large Seb (my first) that I just bought that someone smoothed and anodized. Just sent it to CRK and they won't reblast the front because the chamfers were rounded when it was scotchbrited. :grumpy: I'm so bummed right now.

I don't know why there was an error with the photo for some, but I edited the original post and re-inserted the link.

Thank you. Very nice work! So did you hold the Scotchbrite pad and rub it on the knife or did you lay the pad down on something flat and rub the knife against it for more even pressure?

How did the pocket clip come out?

I bought it from the guy that did the work. But either technique should work fine.

I did my Bradley and 'zann a couple years ago. I got tired of the beadblast showing scratches.

I use my knives so I wasn't concerned about re-selling a safe queen.

I did the Bradley first, just in case I didn't like it. It turned out so well that I immediately did the CRK.

The process is simple.
Break the knife down.
Sand the scales under running water.
No skill needed...

I used a black pad to get the rough texture out.
After that I used a white pad to get the fine texture.

I posted that I was going to do this with my 'zaan befoer I started the project.
I had PM's from people begging me not to "ruin' my Umnumzaan.
After I did it everyone thought it looked great.

Here's the link and pics:
