Thank you, sir! What a great thread & collec you have here, Jimmy! Imo, this is a thread that will.not get old - especially for those of us that are in to the TOPS WPH & Phoenix Combat model
I just recently acquired a Wild Pig Hunter & shortly after discovered that it was born of the Phoenix Combat by Kizlyar. And, as luck would have it, I found a brand new Kizlyar Phoenix Combat U8 Limited Edition here on the forums for $125 shipped! Imo, that's just stealing this blade. Hell, getting the Tops WPH under $200 is a great deal for what ya get imo. At any rate, the Phoenix Combat has arrived at my Post Office this morning. I'll post up some pics of it & my WPH today. It looks as if the Phoenix Combat has Linen Micarta Scales-
Jimmy, just wanna thank you for doing such a wonderfully detailed thread on Kizlyar Knives. The videos I particularly appreciate!

So, I've had the P-1 Combat all of 5 minutes (lol) & I do believe I slightly prefer it to the WPH. But, not by much! Both are are just exceptional imo. The WPH is just slightly more heavy duty while the Phoenix is a bit lighter less thick and I do prefer the feel of the handle and Linen Micarta Scales of the Phoenix. Although, the WPH is just - you know it's tremendously strong & sharp.
Also, I believe the Phoenix Combat 1 has just a hair more cutting edge than the TOPS.
As for now, I'm just really glad I have both!
Love the Skull Crusher on the Phoenix.
Anyway, here's a couple pics

Since collecting is the main goal of my hobby, I rarely alter anything on my knives... Sorry I can't help you there, buddyJimmy, have you ever sharpened your Phoenix? If so, what angle did you go with?
You are indeed lucky ,up until 2022 early 23,Amazon sold them for that price and I didn't know about them at the time ,now I have the tops Wild Pig Hunter and several Kizlyar Phoenix clones and honestly prefer them, the grips are more rounded and the pommel is for serious use ,I am still looking for the real one,I'd gladly trade my Tops for a real Kizlyar PhoenixThank you, sir!![]()
