my collection is growing and i can't stop

You can add a katana, a YCS special, an 18" hanuman, a 14" BDC, a 10" rato chandan Kumar karda, an 8" JKM, and a Sgt. Khadka that I got for Christmas. :D :D

Faramir...I see at least two choices. The first you already mentioned...but as I recall, the one time I saw an overseas replacement required, Bill simply sent a replacement. No return hassle, and since you already paid the tax (or whatever they call it), they should not charge you again. Secondly, have Bill send it to a tusted (senior?) forum member and have them inspect and test it. If a problem arises, they could exchange it with Bill and avoid everything except for the tax issue itself. I, and probably Dan, maybe others, would be glad to assist in such a matter. After testing, either Dan or I could buff out any marks on the blade as well as make sure it's still sharp.

Worth considering anyway...

Nasty, it's not the willingness of uncle Bill i'm questioning here - it's the twin hassle i'd be going through with my puchase, if anything did happen to be wrong with the knife. I know this must sound odd to americans (afterall tyou're not "importng" anything pe-se, uncle Bill is doing that on your behalf). The man isn't n the bes physical condition, to put it frankly - and he undoubtedly has better things on his mind than inspecting eac and every item he sells for cracks and so on. Alas that doesn't help me - one of those Ak ~16" looks so darn right to me i'd be lacing the order right now if it wasn't for he fear of getting untested/uninspected blade.

Some of you HI cantina folks seem really trustworty - would anyone of you be willing to buy a khuk for me if i sent you the cash and shippng money in advance ? I'd send you the cash, you'd order a khuk, if it makes to you in one piece (no cracks and all) you'd simply ship it off to me, if that's not the case you'd bug the uB on my behalf, to get the blade replaced. Would that be doable ? Anybody in the oldtimers section ? :)

I really cannot decide between a direct purchase an having a (Us-based) friend of mine (or a canuck) hel on my behalf. S confusing .... i'm being drawn to those khuks and i really can't help it anymore, knowing ful well that there's no friggin jungle to chop over here - it's a virus. Especially at those prices.

Believe me, I "need" every one of these and MORE!! MORE!! MORE!! :D :D

I blame all this on Yangdu and Uncle Bill.
If they would only send me an email stating, " No more "SOUP" for you for 1 month"(Seinfeld reference)!!!! :D Or at the very least, start posting items that I don't need!!!! :D :D

The only items left that I really need is an AK Bowie, a Tarwar, and a Tibetan Sword.

Philthygeezer- great pic.

What is the khuk on the very far left with the Y/Y inset?

It dang near makes the stretch of the Tibetan sword.

Tx.

Faramir perhaps there's a house remodeling somewhere in your future. A 15"-18" AK is a prefect house remodeling tool.
Or perhaps a fence, anyone's fence may need to be torn down and replaced.
Hell Fire man, you could post an ad saying,

"Have Khukuri- Will Travel."
"All house demolition jobs taken on at small fee."

You might wind up with more use for a khuk than you can imagine!!!! :D  :D

You got these in a MONTH!

DUDE!

Sorry to yell, but I thought a YEAR would be a reasonable time frame to aquire one-of-each... you're hitting the right ones, too.

The O/O Katana, too?

My fellow Floridian... well done.

If it helps, Yvsa knows that I am currently helping a friend and fellow forumite in Oz doing almost exactly the same thing.

That's a 26" HI Sirupati I got from Hawaii. It seems about as long as the sword and more than twice as heavy. Theres no Kami mark and the handle is checkered and inlaid. Nice piece. The scabbard is getting tight on it though. Anything I can do to remedy this?
