so i used to carry a kershaw 1620 scallion for about 3 years and i lost it. i loved that knife and im not sure why i didnt replace it but i just didnt. so i went a couple years with no knife and recently took a trip to cabellas and picked up a benchmade 1000001 volli and it started my love affair back up. so in these past few weeks i have started collecting again and heres where im at so far:

-kershaw 1620dam scallion damascus (damascus version of my original)

-and the second volli up top is my carry knife (liked it so much i got 2)



and my to-buy list so far is:

-al mar eagle hd

-al mar nomad

-183bk contego fixed

I owned a 162 Bushcrafter, and I will say that the S30V was unimpressive. I would stay away from it. Benchmade's S30V has been underwhelming to say the least in my experience. I would look at other fixed blades. ESEE's are fabulous. I don't have any experience with al mar, but the BM 710 and 810 are good knives, they do a great job with D2 and I've heard the m390 versions are phenomenal. I don't like the Spyderco military as it's tip down carry only. You should check out the Spyderco PM2, Manix 2, and Gayle Bradley.
 
Nice collection.
I like the scallions and chives, they don't get a lot of mention on here but they are great little EDC blades.
 
yes i love that 810. its in cpm-m4 which i heard has excellent qualitys in everything but rust resistance. just looked at
the gayle bradley and now i want one so thats on the list too. i tend to watch alot of reviews on youtube before i buy. and as far as the pm2 isnt it hard to get?
 
PM2 is more readily available now. There was a shortage a while ago, but as far as I know they are easier to get. You can score a good deal on the exchange here as well.
 
Great start, you are well on your way to a full blown knife addiction.
There are a whole bunch of rehabs to pick from, and a whole bunch of counselors.
I like Bill Buxton, Nick Wheeler and Bruce Bump for intense addictions!!!

Or a 10, 15, Roadhouse, Journeyman. Or you could try out a Kershaw/Emerson collaboration.

You have a nice collection so far and your want list is filled with some good ones. Try out some Spyderco and ZTs. Maybe some more fixed blades.

This road is as long and varied as your wallet allows. Enjoy!

so auto knives are illegal in my state. but i do like the looks of the commander a LOT so its on the list, along with the journeyman. i am not a fan of tanto blades.

its on the list. the regular sized one. i have a couple more benchmades i want first though. i like the looks of the emerson vindicator but havent read any more about it yet.

Good looking collection, I would suggest a spyderco delica/ endura in VG-10 steel. Great steel, takes a killer edge and is easy to sharpen. I would also go with a ZT, many flavors to choose from. You have a good list already, why not add to it and have even more options
 
Great choices. Loving the M4 myself. The 810 just knocked a 710 and 913, both in D2, (BM does a fine job on D2, one of my favorites) out of my pocket for the time being. The 710 is a must if your an Axis fan and one of the best values for your loot would be the Gayle Bradley Folder, M4, built like a tank, looks like a million bucks..
