My collection

Bishop85gt,
That's a great start. But you (gasp) use them?! Then it's true, you can meet all sorts of people on these forums. Let me guess, you're from a long line of kife-users? :) Just kidding, I'm glad someone uses their's - so I can read reviews and find out which knives work well.

That new Gerber looks nice. I'd buy one myself but I wish it were a lockback. I have several Gerbers myself, including two Silver Knights, a Gator, and an LST. The EZ-Out is on my wanted list.

I admire people like Clydetz who have the discipline to focus their collections. I could never do that. My collection consists of, "Knives that Bob Finds Interesting."

I wish I had a picture of my knives laid out. More than some, fewer than others, but very diverse.

Best Wishes,
Bob

Hey, couple of questions on some knives in you guys' photos:

T. Erdelyi,
Top photo, bottom, right-center. Is that a Tekna diving/boot knife, or some other brand? I haven't seen Tekna for sale in a while...
Second photo, lower left center by the multi-tools. Are those AG Russell One-Hand Knives? Or does someone else use that design too?

Clydetz,
There are two knives in your photo that appear to be made from closed-end wrenches. Am I'm seeing that correctly? If so, who makes 'em?

Best Wishes,
-Bob

The boot knife is an old Fury made in Japan, and sold out of CA, about 15 years old.

The top knife is a Pat Crawford One Hand Knife,(nearly identical to A G Russell's) and the bottom one is an A G Russell bought off Mr. Russell himself at the first ECCKS.

I'm still not sure who designed the original, I believe it was Pat Crawford his were $200 + at the time and AG's were $80 so back in the late 80's I bought the A G Russell at the show, he cut himself right after that and had to go to the hospital for stitches.

Edit: Never mind, T.Erdelyi answered already :)

It was Pat Crawford. There was some bad blood between Pat and AG regarding this model.

That's what I thought, but someone here told me it was Russells first.

Thanks for the info.

Intersting story about AG Russell and stitches. Goes with the business I guess. I remember visiting AG's store one day when it the 'showroom' was only a counter in the rear of an old farmhouse and he showed me how to use the One Hand Knife. But back then an $80 knife was as unobtainable as a $1000 knife. I bought something that day, but it wasn't a One-Hand-Knife. I have one now though, a First Production from The Cutting Edge. :)

Best Wishes,
-Bob
