My constant problem with folders. Advise appreciated.

Or you could do what I do and "Brownie Pop" them open without touching the studs, disks, or spyderholes at all. I take the disk, studs off the knives I own when I get them as a rule as they get in the way of presentation by grabbing the pockets on the way out.

Using the opening devices attached to the blades is too slow for defensive work.

I have loctited all the clips on the folders with blue loctite and never had one come loose unless I was trying to take them off for some reason. The first thing I do is loctite the clip screws.

The torx used on clips are a pain in the A$$ as others have stated.
