My coping blade/cap lifter project.UPDATE!

Nice to hear of a happy outcome of this knife! Really nice covers on that one too. On the one time I sent a knife into GEC all I can say is that they are a real pleasure to deal with. Top notch folks!:thumbup:
Thanks for the update.

Wow thats awesome! Two weeks is quick as I've heard it's a month or so sometimes. $25 is very reasonable for a disassembly, new blade and re-finish of the bolster. Bravo to GEC!

I liked your idea, sorry it didnt work out.

Very nice! Back as she should be. Gotta love Chris and the folks at GEC! Enjoy your #85.

Well they treated you very well considering you did the damage, no offense intended. That's a very fast turn around for you!:thumb up: WTG Gec!

I really feel like I got lucky in this one! Was so surprised to get it back so quick!! I was just looking the 85 over and noticed that replaced the spear blade also! Not quite sure why but if you look in the first pics, no blade stamp, then on the last pic there is a blade stamp!

25 bux?? wow I thought it was going to be cheaper to buy a new knife. That's amazing. I was going to ask how it actually failed to open a beer? Looking at your modification I reckon I could get a couple open.

There has been much said about the 2011 caplifter being a dud. I never had a problem getting to the amber fluid using mine.
You need to try more and different beer mate!
