My CRK Collection

Have you ever thought bringing this collection to boise? Could be a great opportunity to show off some and possibly learn some new things, if there is anything else for you to learn
I wish I could, but I can't, I'm not living in USA.

Absolutely amazing collection! Not only the collection, the but knowledge and history that comes along with such a prestigious array of early CRK's. As always, thanks for sharing and being a part of this community!

One question I have: When did CRK stop tying the lanyard around the scales and introduce the lanyard pin on the Sebenza's?

Thank you Matt! I think they introduced the lanyard pin around 2010, I'm not very sure, I have very few knives later than 2008.

That Lock 45 is amazing! It's the reason I gave up knife collecting. I wanted one so badly but none came for sale at any price. So I decided to keep my collection in stasis. I still have about ten knives I love, but I sold off most and haven't bought any more. Because I'll never be able to find one at any price so there's not really a point to keep trying to collect for me. Maybe that's weird, but it's how I felt a several years ago and the feeling hasn't changed.

I only know of three, the one in the OP's collection that he posted a few years ago, one in Sal from Spyderco, and one in the hands of a South African knife maker who knew Chris. When the hunt becomes impossible, it's exhausting and time to move on to new endeavors in life. I still like looking at other people's knife collections but I'm likely retired from the game.
That's just a knife, don't give up completely, and don't be too eager to pursue it, maybe one day you will get it.
Frankly to say, I got many knives that I didn't dare to think of before.

Amazing. Guessing there’s not too many people who can answer “all of them” when asked what they have in their collection.

Guessing you’ve probably explained this countless times, but how long have you been collecting these?
10 years

That is amazing for so short of time , and well after their easier availability. I had always presumed (wrongly) that you were in early.
Your definitely a good hunter.
Yes, it's really difficult for me, and I'm outside the United States, I definitely paid more energy than others to find these knives. I once regretted this, I think I should use this energy in my work and family.

Holy moly - are you a professional photographer?!?! Great pictures of incredible knives!

The Sharkstooth and Fireball damascus are especially interesting...I don't think I have even seen pictures of them before. Was there a special occasion behind the production of these, such as for Blade Show?

Thank you for your kind words. I'm not a professional photographer, I just like my knives and try my best to show their quality. I think the Sharkstooth and Fireball damascus patterns were made mainly according to orders for a period of time.

When you grace us with the book, your legacy will be sealed! All that hard work and gained knowledge will be appreciated by many!! Bart
