Just got my crkt m16-13sf, my first crkt actually. How should i take care of it? Is there anything i should look out for? Thanks!!

Keep the pivot oiled 3-in-1 oil works well imho for CRKT m16 knifes, keep it sharp and use a fine grit, a spyderco fine sharpening tool (ceramic) is great.

One thing to watch would be the bevels on the edge. Many CRKT's are chisel ground -- one side is at a different angle than the other. You can either reprofile the edge so they are evenly angled, or sharpen carefully as they are. I have a couple of the M16's and have done it both ways.

Does anyone know why they do the chisel grind on so many of their knives?

I love my Lightfoot M1, but the sharpening can be a PITA.
