My Dad has passed

Thank you, Greg. I'm sorry to hear about your Dad. In the end, the hospital told us there was no hope for my Dad. He was unconcious when they moved him to the hospice. The hospice only has one function, to let people die as confortably as possible. He was on a morphine drip when he passed. He felt no pain.
 
Sad to hear of a good man gone. Good to hear that there was such a good man.

Sending smoke up from deep within the Boreal forest. Sorry to hear about your loss, my father died after a two year struggle with colon cancer 16 years ago, even today he is still constantly in my thoughts.
 
I keep trying to add something helpful or wise to this thread... can't seem to find the words.

I'd like to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes for my family. Enough has been said, and it's time to return to more life confirming subjects. Thanks again, folks.
 
It is never easy when the elder branch has fallen from the family tree. God will cal all of us home someday. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
