Not only a treasured heirloom but an outstanding piece of cutlery.Guess he must have bought this back in around 1965. He was a very keen gardener, hence the pruning and budding blade - strangely enough, the latter is stainless, whereas both others are ferrous steel of some kind.Liners are brass and the scales look some kind of horn.
