My Dad's Schrade OldTimer - Can you help me with it?

We get Marvel comics here but I never heard of Marvel oil.

I'd take a cotton swab with alcohol to clean that knife, spray it with some WD40 to take out any stuff that may have gotten inside, then some mineral oil to get rid of the WD40.

Then put it inside an old clean cotton sock and roll it up to keep it warm.

Then I'd pick up my old copy of The Complete Works of Edgar Allan Poe and sit down to read about The Fall of the House of Ulster...Er... Usher...

Then I would prepare me a "Charro Negro" (Tequila and Coke, sorry I don't like Margaritas, of course I have not tried the real Margueritas from our Moderator).

Then have a drink in honor of that other Mystery writer and the Legend of the Corner Stone.

Luis

P.S. dun gal, welcome to the forum and sorry about the babble, don't pay too much attention, we have our own mysteries here, maybe someone will explain...

Marvel Mystery Oil........I can smell it now. It takes me back to my youth, I started working in a service station, (yes we really did wash your windshield & rear window, check your oil, tires, and anything else you needed checked), when I was 12. We used Marvel oil on everything, long before I had ever heard of WD40.
I have never used it on my knives but imagine it would work very well.
