My daughter's first fishing trip on the boat.

May you and Sophia continue to enjoy your fishing trips together for many years to come.

My sister just had my niece about two weeks ago. I can't wait to take her fishing. Have to wait a while though. Great pictures Ken. The first fish I ever caught was a crappie that came in around a pound and half, so seeing your adorable daughter with that fish brought back some great memories for me. I am sure she will remember that day for the rest of her life. I just saw that she turned 4 on Aug 3rd, my niece was born the following day, I just think that is kinda cool.

Now THAT is a beautiful little girl Ken! :) You're a lucky man - and she's a lucky little girl to have a great daddy.

I remember fishing with my boys when they were preschoolers...ducking their spastic casts, constantly tying lures and hooks on...they would roam all over the boat and stick fishing poles into the lake and get bored...now they are 11 and 13 and are awesome fishermen...it's so worth the effort, you reap what you sow and I hope one day you get to feel what I have...pride in your kids and yourself for taking the time. Good job.

You made me envious. I have 2 year old twin boys. And thier first fishing trip has been on my mind a lot the summer. I'm looking forward to taking them to some local ponds, then out to some of the bigger lakes around. Then as soon as they are old enough they can come with me and "Da Fellas" on our annual fishing trip to the coast. We usualy sleep right on the pier the first night.
You are truely a blessed man!!!!!

Great pictures Ken, it's obvious she enjoyed it greatly! :D

My mom's side of the family jointly owns a cabin on a lake in Bucksport (near Bangor) Maine. We spent this week there and came home this morning, and I spent most of the time with my 3 and 5 year old cousins. They're VERY energetic. (As a matter of fact, my uncle gave the 5 year old a china cheapie SAK and I took the opportunity to give him a lesson, but he just wanted to play with it instead of listening...maybe next year :(, but I could always get him the "My First Victorinox" :) ) Anyway, they had a blast fishing, though for the most part they wanted to use small hand nets and cheetos to catch the sunfish, we didn't get any perch this year. I still remember fishing and froghunting there when I was a little kid.

Here's a picture of one of Jake's (5) fish, I forget what he named this one:

Unfortunately we only got a picture of Nick, one of the digitals we brought lost all of the other pictures of them. :(

Here's Nick:
