My dilemma

1HP won't be ideal, but you'll be able to work on it. As Mike pointed out a true 2HP motor won't be found in 110V. If you get a 2HP compressor motor or something that runs on 110V it's likely overrated. That being said, it'll still work. I have a grinder running a "2" HP compressor motor out back - works OK, I just don't try to stop it ;)

I may take you up on that some time in the distant future. unfortunatly we live on opposite coasts. I probably won't get around to it this year.
